Error: Unable to Complete Data Plan Change
This error message appears when installation failed which can be caused by different reasons.
- Poor connection – Use stable connections during installation (preferably WiFi). Avoid using airport WiFi or public WiFi.
- Expired eSIM – Attempting to install an eSIM that was already installed as most eSIM can only be installed once. Verify if eSIM is installed on your device:
- Go to “Settings” > “General” > “About”
- Scroll down and locate the ICCID (a 20 digit number that starts with 89XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX and ends with a random extra numbers).
- If the ICCID has been installed, refer to installation details to ensure settings are correct.
- Many eSIMs are installed on the device – eSIM compatible devices allow you to install multiple eSIMs, but depending on the device model, the number of eSIMs you can have active simultaneously may vary. Free up space by deleting unused eSIM.
